Details Itinerary:
Day 1: Siem Reap – Arrival (B)
Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to the hotel. The same day, your family holidays begins with a walking tour is just under 2km all on flat ground. We take the tour very slowly allowing you to wander at your own pace. We visit a local village and have an opportunity to learn about life in Cambodia. This is a great chance for you and your kids to savour the village experience and learn about village life. Kids will love seeing the buffalo, oxen, rice fields and stilted homes. There is always something happening that will fascinate the young and young at heart.  This evening we will have an opportunity to enjoy the traditional Apsara dance show. The venue provides a limited Asian style buffet.  The show lasts for around one hour.  Should you feel this is too long for your children departing during the show will not cause offence. Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 2: Explore temples complex (B)
After breakfast, depart the hotel and heading to the old market. Your guide will provide a short tour of the local produce section and will help you to purchase some bananas (for feeding the elephants and monkeys). This is a great spot to capture some interesting photos.

We then head to the amazing Angkor Wat the largest religious monument ever built. Stroll around this massive monument to admire the Khmer architectural masterpiece and engineering. Your guide will help bring this to life and engage everyone in the stories of the past.

After Angkor Wat, we head up to Angkor Thom for feeding the elephants and monkeys with bananas which we bought that morning.  After a fun-filled morning, the afternoon is free for your family to explore the town or relax by the hotel pool. Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 3: Explore Angkor complex (B)
After breakfast, head out for the balloon ride to see surrounding view of Angkor Park, Angkor Wat towers emerging from jungle, Bakheng hill, west Barray reservoir, city landscape and mountain ranges. We drive through  the southern gate of Angkor Thom, which is nicely adorned with stone smiling faces and preceded by stunning causeway.

We spend the morning exploring some of amazing temples inside Angkor Thom complex such as Bayon, we did not enter Bayon yesterday this becomes our starting point.  The famous Bayon is decorated with mysterious faces of both Buddha’s and the king’s.  Kids will have the challenge of trying to count how many faces adorn this temples tours. Following Bayon we visit Baphoun, the Royal enclosure, Phimean Akas, the elephant and leper king terraces. These are great sites to explore with interesting stories and carvings.

After relaxing at hotel, we then head out to the Tonle Sap Lake and board a boat to explore the floating village.  We will see floating schools, fishery, basketball course and crocodile farm.

We head back towards town to Happy Ranch horse farm.  Our day's main activities finish with an hour horse ride. If this sounds too adventurous then a cart is a nice option too. Enjoy wandering at a relaxed pace through the Cambodian Country Side. Helmets are provided.  This is a lovely way to see the day draw to a close. After dinner, we explore the night markets. Kids will love watching or perhaps enjoying a fish massage. Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 4: Explore Angkor complex (B)
We highly recommend one early start to visit the amazing temple of Ta Prohm.  Getting their early means you miss the hordes of tour buses that visit this popular temple throughout the day. Ta Prohm was made famous in the move tomb raider with Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie).  The massive trees and roots are locked in a silent battle with the temple stones.  The early start means the temple will be just about yours alone.

As we head out of the temple area we make a short stop at the manmade pool Srah Srang.  This was once a holy ablution pool. We then head back hotel for breakfast; the morning is set aside for your leisure.

In the afternoon, we journey around 16km to visit the national silk center where the whole silk process revealed, this includes silk-worms farming, silk extraction, color dying and weaving. A short stop at the cafe is possible for ice cream (not included in the package price). The silk centre is a really interesting visit and enjoyed by all visitors. On the way back town, visit the amazing West Barray, the ancient reservoir system is still in use today.  Your guide will help explain how this system supported the ancient empire. The Barray is lovely and the cool breeze off the water nice and refreshing.  If the water level is high, we can catch a boat across to a small island and enjoy lunch over on the island.  Alternatively we will find a spot to relax on the shore and enjoy some local snacks on the banks of the Barray. Overnight in Siem Reap
