Day 1: Arrive and explore Siem Reap.
Day 2: Angkor Thom, Bayon, Elephant Terrace, Terrace of Leper King and Jungle Temple. Angkor Wat & sunset on the hilltop of Phnom Bakheng (B)
Day 3: Preah Khan, Neak Pean, East Mebon. and floating villages.
Day 4: Kulen Mountain, Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre. Enjoy a Buffet dinner with traditional Apsara dance show (B/D)
Day 5: Visit local Market, floating villages, Beng Mealea.
Day 6: Silk Farm, Artisans d' Angkor workshop & local markets.
Day 1: Siem Reap –
Arrive at Siem Reap International airport where you will be greeted by your tour guide and driver for transfer to your hotel. Your guide will highlight some activities in Siem Reap for you to explore at your leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 2: Angkor Temples (B)
Today, visit the great capital of Angkor Thom, South Gate, the magnificent temple of Bayon (originally there were 54 towers decorated with 216 enigmatic smiling faces), Baphoun, Royal Enclosure, Phimean Akas, Elephant Terrace, and Terrace of Leper King.
Before having lunch, continue to the Jungle Temple Ta Prohm, one of the most fabulous temples in the area. The Jungle Temple has been left in much the same condition in which it was found with tree roots and vegetation covering all towers.
In the afternoon, visit one of the modern seven wonders of the world - Angkor Wat. This most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. View twilight and sunset on the hilltop of Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Angkor Temples, Floating Village (B)
Today, we head out to Grand Circuit to visit others amazing temples with different architectural styles such as Preah Khan, Neak Pean, an island temple with five square ponds set right middle of the last Baray, East Mebon. Return to hotel after lunch.
Afternoon, drive to the Great Tonle Sap Lake, take a boat trip to floating villages. On the way back, visit Artisans d'Angkor workshop. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 4: Kulen Mountain, Banteay Srey (B)
Today, drive to Kulen Mountain, the quarry which provided the stone to build the temples in Angkor area. We first visit the site of the Lingas carved in the riverbed by successive kings of the Angkor period and a walk further will bring us to the site of a huge natural rock with a large reclining Buddha carved into the sand stone block. Our walk will also take in a waterfall, don't forget your swimming suits and join the locals! More carvings in the riverbed can be seen above the waterfall. This is also a very popular place for Khmer people to come and enjoy their weekend with a picnic. A lunch pack will be provided at the site.
After lunch break, drive back to exquisite Banteay Srei, the temple is made of pinkish sandstone with delicate carvings. On the way back to hotel, make a stop at a few local communities to learn how they produce rice products, palm sugar and other goods. Visit Banteay Samre and the day ends at Pre Rup. Overnight in Siem Reap
This evening we enjoy a buffet dinner with traditional Apsara Dance Show. After dinner, you'll be dropped at Night Markets where you can try your bargaining skills and return to hotel by rickshaw. Overnight in siem Reap
Day 5: Floating Village & Beng Mealea (B)
Today, visit local Market where Cambodian people sell all kinds of wonderful, exotic foodstuffs such as snakes, spiders, waterfowl and fried bugs. Drive further to the stilted and floating villages of Kompong Kleang. On the way back, visit Beng Mealea temple, a large temple overrun by vegetations. Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 6: Silk Farm - departure (B)
Drive to the Silk Farm to see a slice of Cambodian rural industry. Set amongst fields of mulberry trees, the Silk Farm is a working factory farm, producing some of the finest silk in the country. You can also learn about the process of silk making, hold a silk worm, see the cocoons being boiled and silk extracted, then dyeing and weaving. The trip ends after your transfer to Siem Reap Airport for flight departure.
